Hunter Schimpff

As Senior Director of Finance, Hunter Schimpff oversees the BES budget and works to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization. Previously, Hunter served on the leadership team of the South Carolina Public Charter School District, a statewide charter school authorizer, where he led the district’s policy initiatives and helped manage the district’s academic and financial performance management initiatives. He has also worked for the Tennessee Charter School Incubator where he managed the budget, operations, and data initiatives of the organization while supporting fellows to incubate some of Tennessee’s now highest performing public charter schools. Hunter started his education career as a classroom teacher at an international school in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He holds a Master’s in Education Policy from Vanderbilt University (Peabody) and a Bachelor’s in Spanish and Mathematics from Wake Forest University.
