Sue Walsh joined BES in 2004, serving first as The Fellowship Director and going on to become a member of the senior leadership team in the role of Chief Academic Officer. Sue oversees all BES programming, working with the Directors of Leadership Development in the design and execution of The Fellowship, Follow On Support, Anchoring Excellence, and LENS, as well as tailored BES coaching supports. Because of Sue’s leadership, The Fellowship has garnered national recognition as a preeminent program of school design and leadership development. Sue is a distinguished former principal of (now) Boston Collegiate Charter School and proven instructional leader at two charter schools, working with a staff of over 50 individuals to deliver strong academic results each year. Sue also taught for 20 years at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where she received a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.
