As a visionary and transformative leader, Dr. Jean Little has cultivated a leadership style characterized by collaboration, empathy, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. From classroom teacher to school administrator, her journey to this point has been marked by a series of impactful experiences serving in various K-12 and higher education roles in her 20 years as an educator. Her notable roles include Principal of Carr Elementary, Tennessee Academic Specialist with Focus Schools, District Humanities & Literacy Curriculum Coordinator for the Jackson Madison County School System, and Interim Dean of Academic Support Services at Bethel University. These experiences have equipped Dr. Little with a deep understanding of the educational landscape and the needs of diverse student populations.
Dr. Little holds an education doctorate in school leadership and policy from the University of Memphis, Tennessee, and a Bachelor’s degree along with two Master’s degrees in education from the University of Tennessee at Martin, Tennessee.
