A Georgia educator for over twenty-five years, Dr. Kimberly Gore is a distinguished visionary and inspiring instructional leader with a rich history of success. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated the ability to effectively influence change, adapt in complex environments, and work collaboratively and cross-functionally to achieve goals. Her broad-based expertise spans academia, evidence-based research, philanthropy, operations, team leadership, board engagement, external affairs, and more.
Most recently, Dr. Gore provided professional learning for faculty while serving as Director of the Teaching Academy at the Morehouse School of Medicine’s Center for Teaching and Learning. She was previously the Early Childhood Education Manager at Georgia Public Broadcasting / PBS KIDS, where she oversaw the GPB Ready to Learn and family engagement initiative. Her additional leadership roles include Chief Academic Officer; Associate Superintendent at the Department of Juvenile Justice; Curriculum Assistant Principal for middle grades students; and Program Specialist for the Georgia Department of Education, where she managed curriculum, compliance, and instructional initiatives for K–12 students with disabilities. She also spent five years teaching Special Education at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
Dr. Gore is currently an Adjunct Professor for graduate-level students at the University of West Georgia. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and a Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in emotional behavior from Clark Atlanta University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Southern University and A&M College.
In the community, Dr. Gore mentors educators and provides intervention services to students in various content areas of learning.
