Rochelle Scott

Having spent her entire career serving low-income students in Baton Rouge, Rochelle’s passion lies in fostering innovative and sustainable transformations in teaching and learning, paving the way for brighter futures in education. With over 19 years of experience in the field, Rochelle has left an indelible mark on both traditional elementary and alternative education settings. Her journey began as a dedicated educator in the classroom, where she honed her craft and discovered her calling to drive positive change in education.  

Rochelle previously served as literacy coordinator for her district, overseeing 42 elementary schools and guiding literacy teachers towards excellence. Over the last three years, she has also extended her impact beyond Louisiana, working in Kentucky, California, Texas, and Massachusetts to support superintendents, state leadership, county leaders, and school principals in implementing the state’s Deeper Learning and Project-Based Learning (PBL) initiatives.  Her multifaceted career has seen her serve in various capacities, from PBLWorks National Faculty to instructional specialist, elementary and alternative school principal, to Eureka Math Trainer, 21st Century School Facilitator, and Arts Integration Specialist.  

With a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Louisiana State University under her belt, Rochelle is relentless in her pursuit of knowledge and growth. Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership, she remains committed to pushing the boundaries of educational innovation and driving meaningful change.
