Krysten Hartman

As Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, Krysten (she/her/hers) works to deepen BES’s impact supporting school leaders in regions across the country by partnering with mission-aligned local and national organizations. Previously, Krysten was a Senior Associate at Chiefs for Change, supporting over two dozen district and state superintendents on key policy priorities and leading the organization’s development work. Krysten also worked for several years at Harvard Kennedy School’s (HKS) Middle East Initiative, where she managed experiential learning courses and graduate student programming in the Middle East. Before working at HKS, Krysten lived in Kuwait for a year, researching special education policy on a Fulbright Fellowship. She holds a Masters of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelors degree in Government from Claremont McKenna College, where she was a Center for Human Rights Leadership Fellow.
