As Chief of New Schools at BES, Rebecca Feiden (she/her/hers) is responsible for setting and implementing the strategic vision for the BES Fellowship and Follow On Support. Prior to joining BES, Rebecca served as the Executive Director of Nevada’s State Public Charter School Authority, which oversees charter schools across Nevada. In her role as Executive Director, Rebecca led the strategic growth of charter schools, facilitating the launch of 25 new charter schools and driving a substantial shift in the student population to more closely align to the demographics of the state.
Before joining the Nevada Charter School Authority, Rebecca worked at the Nevada Department of Education with a focus on charter schools and school turnaround efforts. Rebecca began her career as a Math and Science teacher in Philadelphia where she later served as an assistant principal of a charter school. Rebecca also has experience managing operations for a multi-state charter management organization.
Rebecca holds a Bachelors of Arts from Wesleyan University and earned her teaching credential at the University of Pennsylvania.
