Amanda Sanchez

Board Secretary, Raza Development Fund

Amanda Sanchez, Vice President of Education at Raza Development Fund (RDF), has over 13 years of experience in education and community development. Since joining RDF in 2011, Amanda has spearheaded initiatives to expand opportunities for underserved and Hispanic communities, with a strong focus on educational equity and economic mobility.

In 2017, Amanda led RDF’s partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to establish the Pacific Northwest regional office, securing over $16 million for charter school facilities in Washington State. Most recently, she secured a $7.8 million Renew America’s Schools Grant to fund energy efficiency upgrades for K-12 public schools. Over her career, Amanda has facilitated the deployment of more than $150 million in capital to support community-focused initiatives.

In her role, Amanda leads all education-related initiatives and lending while also contributing to climate equity and New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) strategies. Beyond her work at RDF, Amanda serves as Secretary of the BES Board of Directors, Vice Chair and Treasurer for Impact Public Schools, and an advisor to the NACSA Strategic Advisory Council.
