As Senior Director of Finance & Compliance, Boamaa Bankole (she/her) ensures BES has strong processes to effectively and accurately manage the organization’s resources. Her background in nonprofit finance, impact investing, and public policy has fostered a commitment to supporting best-in-class nonprofits with financial strategies for sustainability and growth. Previously, Boamaa worked as Director of Finance & Operations at The Learning Accelerator; in this capacity, she spearheaded finance, human resources, and operations, enabling TLA to maximize resources and optimize systems for programmatic impact. Prior to that, Boamaa was an Analyst at Maycomb Capital’s Community Outcomes Fund, an impact investment fund dedicated to aligning public spending on human services with meaningful outcomes for children and families.
Boamaa graduated from Emory University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in African American Studies. She is also a 2021 Fellow in NYU’s Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service.
