As Senior Director of Leadership Development & Community Engagement, Danalyn leads leadership development, effective school design, and strategic community engagement for BES Fellows, coaching aspiring founders to design and launch high-quality, community-centered schools. Since joining BES in 2021, she has successfully coached founders across the South to charter approval and has led the development of BES’s Community Co-Design Fellowship. Currently, Dr. Hypolite leads the Community-Centered Design Learning Arc within the Build Fellowship, equipping leaders with strategic planning and qualitative research skills that strengthen school design.
A native of New Orleans and a third-generation public educator, Danalyn brings more than 25 years of experience spanning the classroom, school leadership, charter founding, as well as district and state charter authorization and oversight. Her work has included developing charter accountability systems, redesigning charter authorization standards through research, and overseeing accountability for Louisiana’s state-authorized charter schools—experiences that now inform her coaching of aspiring school founders at BES. Dr. Hypolite earned a B.S. in Physics from Xavier University of Louisiana, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Trinity Washington University, and an Ed.D. in Executive Leadership from The University of Holy Cross.
