As Senior Director of Leadership Development – Governance, Erline (she/her/hers) believes in expanding the opportunities for community members to play an active role in education. In her position, Erline builds the capacity of both Lead Founders and their founding teams by helping them understand the fundamentals of compliance and how it impacts organizational and student success. With a primary focus on board recruitment, impact trainings, team development, and sustainability, Erline maintains board effectiveness as a top priority. She provides support throughout the Fellowship year and post-authorization.
Erline truly believes in being actively involved in community organizations and has served on several community boards supporting educational, local, and national policies. She has experience reporting to boards in her previous roles and understands the fundamental responsibilities to provide sound leadership. Previously serving as an Academic Dean in the for-profit education sector, Erline provided campus leadership and direction for building management, identified best practices amongst the faculty, and delivered educational guidance to both students and faculty.
In addition to her work with the Build Track of the Fellowship, Erline co-leads the DEI Committee to support and institute proactive initiatives to ensure equity throughout the organization’s policies, procedures, and hiring.
Erline holds a Masters of Education in Higher Education from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Stockton University.
