As Associate Director of Recruitment for BES, Jahiarra Mitchell (she/her/hers) helps recruitment efforts for BES programs to ensure high quality, diverse candidate pipelines of talent that reflect the communities that we serve. Prior to this role, Jahiarra served as an Operations Manager for a public charter school network, building and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders to support the new hire and talent process through building a robust talent pipeline and ensuring an equitable candidate experience. For the past decade, Jahiarra has worked in both public schools and public charter schools as a teacher, counselor, and talent acquisition partner. Jahiarra is excited to leverage her education and talent acquisition background as the Associate Director of Recruitment.
Jahiarra earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri (Mizzou). She is currently pursuing a Masters of School Counseling at the University of Southern California.
