As Talent Strategy Lead, Kriss Deas leads BES’s organization-wide talent strategy, including workforce planning, employee experience, total rewards, performance management, and organizational development. She partners with leaders across the organization to build systems that strengthen role clarity, support employee growth and retention, and align BES’s people practices with its long-term strategy and priorities.
Prior to joining BES, Kriss began her career as a high school science teacher in Atlanta, Georgia. She later spent ten years at TNTP, working across the Client Team, Talent and Culture team, and Shared Services team. Her experience included overseeing recruitment, selection, and onboarding for TNTP’s signature Bridge Fellows program; supporting teacher recruitment and cultivation strategies for high-needs school districts; and contributing to employee onboarding, leave administration, compensation, and other core HR processes.
Kriss holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Science Education from Georgia State University. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband and two children in the Atlanta area, playing kickball, coaching softball, and volunteering at her children’s school.
