Nicole Santero serves as the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications at BES. For more than a decade, she has played a key role in developing and implementing mar/comms and recruitment strategies in the education and non-profit spaces. She was part of the Superintendent’s communications team at the fifth-largest school district in the nation (Clark County) and went on to lead public relations efforts at the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA). Prior to BES, she served as Director of Communications at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Public Health.
An experienced advocate in her local community, Nicole is actively involved with various non-profits. Passionate about the personal growth and leadership development of young leaders, she is a member of the Nevada DECA Board of Trustees and co-runs an annual youth mentorship program as a board member of OCA – Asian Pacific American Advocates (Las Vegas chapter). She previously served on the boards of the UNLV Alumni Association, Nevada Minority Health & Equity Coalition, and Girls on the Run.
Nicole is also a published researcher, blending her interests in fan culture, social media networks, and global social movements. She has a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies, a master’s degree in Journalism & Media Studies, and is completing her Ph.D. in Sociology at UNLV.
